about
About Me:
My design goal is to attain just the right equilibrium between form, function, art, and craft. My original designs blend the essences of basic Asian and contemporary aesthetics, with a fluency in the vocabulary of modernism. I enjoy working cooperatively with clients in an interactive design process, creating pieces that are at once relevant to the client, their space, and their lifestyle; that are functional; that display a high level of craftsmanship; and that include something of my own personal aesthetic. I use hand-selected domestic and imported hardwoods, choice softwoods, and accenting in shell, metal, and glass.

Ordering:
Ordering a commissioned piece can start with a simple phone call, letter, or email.
Designs can be supplied by you, your architect/decorator, by me, or arrived at together. Creating a custom piece together offers a satisfaction that no store-bought piece can.
Pricing of custom, handmade furniture is highly dependent on several variables, such as the cost of materials and design complexity. The process starts with an initial conversation or visit. I then charge a small design fee $250. After our initial discussions to map out the overall parameters of your project, I will supply you with preliminary concept drawings (or use your drawings, if you have them). Once design details are worked out, I will provide you with a quotation and a timetable based on your needs, my production schedule, and materials availability. You provide a 50% deposit at quotation acceptance, with the balance due at time of delivery.
